Actor Jo Woo-ri is delivering a standout performance as Moon Ae-ra in the SBS Wed-Thu drama ‘Sold Out Again Today,’ a character whose cold, biting barbs conceal a warm heart and who embodies a twist of ‘tough-outside, tender-inside’ charm.

In episode 5 of SBS’s Wed-Thu drama ‘Sold Out Again Today’ (directed by Ahn Jong-yeon, written by Jin Seung-hee, produced by Studio S, Beyond J, and Slingshot Studio), which aired on the 6th, Jo Woo-ri appeared as Moon Ae-ra, the owner of Deokpung Village’s ‘Moon Cafe,’ and offered a three-dimensional portrayal of a character who seems cold yet is deeply warm-hearted.

In the broadcast, upon hearing that a coffee truck had arrived in Deokpung Village, Moon Ae-ra showed up on a scooter. She claimed the very front of the line without hesitation and, with a single glance, quieted the surrounding murmurs, asserting her presence as a true power player in Deokpung Village.

Moon Ae-ra’s forcefulness in dealing with Kang Mu-won (played by Yoon Byung-hee) stood out. She cautioned against the arrival of an outsider with a sharp declaration, “The point is, this is my turf.” She then snapped, “I suppose coffee made by a country girl is not quite right for an important day, is it? This is why I do not even bother talking with people from Seoul,” showing a razor-edged response toward Kang Mu-won. In the process, Jo Woo-ri instantly dominated the mood of the scene with her steely gaze and overwhelming presence.

Meanwhile, Moon Ae-ra’s ‘tsundere’ reversal charm, hidden behind her cold exterior, also came to the fore. At a village meal, she drew attention with unexpected kindness by plucking off a perilla leaf for Kang Mu-won. Jo Woo-ri convincingly expressed the warm-heartedness concealed beneath her unrestrained dialect, presenting the textbook example of a ‘tough-outside, tender-inside’ character.

With Moon Ae-ra harboring wariness toward people from Seoul, anticipation is building over how she will change after encountering the variable that is Kang Mu-won.
