KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonriri’
The precarious mother-and-son pair in the drama, Lee Soo-kyung and Lee Jin-woo, head out on a neighborhood tour together. In addition, a twist emerges in the romance between Choi Gyuri and Lee Jin-woo.
In episode 7 of the KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonriri’ (directed by Choi Yeon-su / written by Song Jeong-rim, Wang Hye-ji / produced by Sim Story), airing at 9:50 p.m. on the 7th, the Seong family mother and son Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) and Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo) encounter the village residents amid a precarious mood.
Previously, Jo Mi-ryeo had held great pride in her firstborn being a medical student, but she fell into confusion after witnessing Seong Ji-cheon working a part-time job in the school cafeteria. After she heard that Seong Ji-cheon had withdrawn from medical school, she collapsed in shock, and viewers focus centered on how the unresolved conflict between mother and son would unfold.
In the broadcast that day, Jo Mi-ryeo visits Nam Hye-seon (played by Nam Gwon-a) at her hair salon together with Seong Ji-cheon. While Seong Ji-cheon cannot hide his bewilderment at a sudden move by his mother, Jo Mi-ryeo forces a bright smile as she boasts about her son in front of Nam Hye-seon and Lee Seon-ja (played by Lee Sun-hee). Curiosity builds over why Jo Mi-ryeo has set out on a neighborhood tour with Seong Ji-cheon.
Meanwhile, Seong Ji-cheon hands Jo Mi-ryeo a letter filled with his sincere feelings. As Jo Mi-ryeo reads it with an enigmatic expression, attention turns to what changes this letter might bring to their relationship.
Warning lights also flash in the relationship between Seong Ji-cheon and Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyuri), dubbed the ‘Yeonriri version of Romeo and Juliet’. Despite the conflict between their two fathers, the two confirmed their feelings for each other and began dating. However, Seong Ji-cheon wavers, blaming himself as the cause of Jo Mi-ryeo having panic disorder, and Im Bo-mi likewise reveals complex emotions at his changed demeanor. With Seong Ji-cheon standing at a crossroads in life, attention turns to what choice he will make between family and love in the main broadcast.
