The first music video inspired by the paintings of artist Eva Armisen will be released through a collaboration with AI filmmaker ‘Roy Oh’.
Eva Armisen, loved by global art enthusiasts for her warm paintings, has joined forces with artist Roy Oh, who is noted for AI-based visual direction.
Born of their collaboration, the music video will be unveiled on May 14. At roughly 3 minutes and 30 seconds, this cinematic music video offers an early look at the original musical ‘Lina, Superhero’ and, going beyond a simple AI film, is raising expectations as a highly accomplished piece.
Roy Oh is a director drawing attention on the global stage through the opening film of the AI section at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) and by producing the welcome dinner video for the 2025 APEC Summit. He is regarded as a creator leading the next generation of visual language and is receiving worldwide attention.

He said about this project, “Although it is an era when anything can be made with AI, there were emotions in the works of Eva Armisen that had to move.” He continued, “This collaboration did not start as a mere technical experiment, but from the question ‘How can we make a painting with emotion come alive?’” The video, produced based on the original paintings of Eva Armisen, preserves her distinctive colors and portrayal of figures while linking scenes into a single narrative.
The most notable aspect of this work is the flow of direction. The video begins with the figure of ‘Lina’ watering a flowerpot where no flowers have yet bloomed, and in the closing, in the same space, flowers burst into full bloom. It is a device that visually shows small change and growth.
Also, in the middle section, it naturally expands the flow of emotion and story through a transition that moves from a field to the sea. Although this music video was created using AI technology, at its core lie meticulously designed direction and an emotional arc. Director Roy Oh said, “What mattered most was connecting emotions rather than scenes,” and added, “We structured it so that viewers naturally enter the story.”
The music video will be released together with the theme song of ‘Lina, Superhero’, ‘Flower in You’. With a lyrical melody and emotive vocals, audiences will experience the story of ‘Lina’ ahead of the stage production.

Composed like a short film, this video serves as a trailer for the musical and also stands on its own as an independent piece. The theme song of the musical ‘Lina, Superhero’ and the music video will be released on May 14 via domestic and international music platforms.
The first experiential exhibition by Eva Armisen, ‘Lina, Superhero’, which opened on May 1, is continuing to succeed through word of mouth among audiences. Viewers follow a single narrative flow that “begins with video → experiences the space → culminates in the performance”.
The production team said, “This music video is not a simple teaser but a finished work that contains the sensibility and message of the piece,” and added, “It will be the starting point where audiences first encounter the world of ‘Lina’.”
‘Lina, Superhero’ is a premium family musical created by painter Eva Armisen together with a top-tier Korean creative team. It is a fantasy piece in which an eleven-year-old girl, ‘Lina’, who loves flowers and enjoys drawing, confronts a gigantic monster born from trash carelessly discarded by her younger sibling.
In this work, the characters from the paintings of Eva Armisen dance, sing, and come to life on stage, and it is emerging as the most anticipated family musical of this summer.
