Lee Kwon-Hee, keyboardist of the band Love and Peace, is leaving the group.

Lee Chul-Ho, the lead vocalist and percussionist of Love and Peace, announced on the 7th via his SNS (social networking service) that Lee Kwon-Hee was leaving.

He said, “We have come to share sudden and unfortunate news. Although he did not participate in the ninth album in 2014, when we released that record he rejoined the team, and for more than 10 long years he kept the stage with us, sharing ups and downs as closer than family; now, member Lee Kwon-Hee (keyboard) is leaving the team for personal reasons.”

Lee Chul-Ho said, “As we have spent many years together and achieved countless memories and musical results, I sincerely hope the days ahead are filled with peace.”

Lee Chul-Ho stated, “Love and Peace will take this change as an opportunity to stand before you even stronger” and “Through the tenth album currently in preparation and our future activities, we promise to sing of unwavering musical passion and hope.”

Love and Peace debuted in 1978 with the first album ‘Handongan Tteumhaesseotji’ and is one of the veteran bands that have kept the stage for 48 years. The group had been active as a five-piece with Lee Chul-Ho, Lee Kwon-Hee, Lee Hae-Jun (guitar), Park Tae-Jin (bass), and Jung Jae-Uk (drums).

Lee Kwon-Hee began his run through the ninth album released in 2014, ‘No.9 ReBirth’, and took to various concert and performance stages.

They received the Achievement Award at the 20th Korean Popular Music Awards in 2023, and appeared on MBN ‘Bulkkot Band’ in 2023, finishing in second place and once again drawing significant public attention.
