Channel A ‘Heart Signal 5’

It is utter chaos.

A new female resident appears on ‘Heart Signal 5’, heralding yet another seismic shift in the romance.

In episode 5 of Channel A ‘Heart Signal 5’ (directed by Park Cheol-hwan and Kim Hong-gu), airing at 10 p.m. on Tuesday the 12th, the seven residents Park Woo-yeol-Kim Sung-min-Kim Seo-won-Jeong Jun-hyun-Kim Min-ju-Jeong Gyu-ri-Kang Yu-kyung fall into even more complicated emotions after their first dates, and the final entrant, the ‘catfish woman’, arrives, bringing new attraction and chaos.

On day five in the ‘Signal House’, Park Woo-yeol keeps the ‘heart-fluttering mood’ going by doing a ‘commute carpool’ with Kang Yu-kyung, with whom he shared the first official date. Park says, “Shall we go see a movie this week? Let's also watch a musical; we have a lot we should do,” naturally suggesting to meet. However, because Kang only belatedly realized that the nickname ‘Salt Bread’ was Park Woo-yeol and had been doubting his sincerity, she cannot hide her turmoil, thinking to herself, “Am I wearing too much of a pair of tinted glasses?”

Amid this delicate, complicated undercurrent, Kang takes charge of dinner and cooks. When only Park Woo-yeol and Jeong Gyu-ri do not return home, Jeong Jun-hyun speculates, “It seems the two are on a date,” and her expression suddenly darkens. Later, when Park and Jeong both come back, seeing the pair being affectionate, Kang ends up shutting her eyes. Meanwhile, Kim Seo-won actively approaches Jeong Gyu-ri, his first-date partner, saying, “Did you have a good time? I kept waiting.” Sitting side by side on the sofa and locking eyes, the two exude a sweet vibe.

Meanwhile, noticing that Kang Yu-kyung seems off, Park Woo-yeol asks, “What did you do today?” Kang replies, “What do you mean, what did I do? I was really worried,” then gets up and goes into her room. Park also lets out a sigh, saying, “Ha…, why is this so hard?” Attention turns to the tightly wound love triangle among Park Woo-yeol, Jeong Gyu-ri, and Kang Yu-kyung that has truly caught fire.

Separately, the final entrant, the ‘catfish woman’, appears earlier than everyone expected, causing surprise. Striding confidently into the restaurant where the seven residents are gathered, the new female resident smiles brightly and says, “Hello~,” and Park remarks meaningfully, “You really never know what is ahead here.”
