Comedian Cho Chung-hyun, who raised his profile through YouTube activities, is taking on the challenge of directing short dramas.

Cho Chung-hyun is embarking on a new challenge. Loved by the public for comedy and impression content, Cho will appear on the new content program ‘Director's Arena’ and transform into a short drama director.

Set to premiere on the 15th, ENA's new variety survival show, ‘Director's Arena’, is a survival program in which creators and entertainers from various fields directly participate in producing short dramas, competing in directing sense and storytelling ability. Within limited production conditions, the participants will handle everything themselves from planning and directing to filming and editing, presenting their own creative worlds.

Over time, Cho Chung-hyun has built a solid fan base by showcasing diverse character acting, situational skits, and parody content on YouTube and television. Noted for his keen character interpretation and immersive acting, he is expected on this program to present a stylish directing approach different from his existing comedic image.

Cho Chung-hyun said, “Director Bong Joon-ho said, ‘The most personal is the most like me’,” adding, “I will strive to debut as a ‘Christopher Very Surprised’ director, with directing ability that can place me among the world's seven beyond the final seven.”

‘Director's Arena’ is a program planned to discover new video creators and revitalize the short drama market in line with the short-form content era, and it will portray the process by which participants from various fields complete their own works through competition and collaboration.

‘Director's Arena’ will unveil its first episode at 11 p.m. on the 15th via ENA.
