Actor Ki Eun-se personally apologized over the ‘nuisance construction’ controversy that arose during renovation work at her home in Pyeongchang-dong.

On the 8th, Ki Eun-se revealed a lengthy message she sent to a resident who reported suffering via her social media, bowing her head and saying, “I am sorry for causing inconvenience first.” She said, “Because winter fell during the work and there was a lengthy period when construction could not proceed, it took longer than expected,” and apologized, saying, “I sought understanding and offered greetings to residents of the same villa, but it was my oversight that I did not consider the surrounding houses.”

She added, “The building itself has no elevator, so a crane had to come in, and as the work progressed, there were many unforeseen situations,” and, “About two more weeks of construction remain, and I will be as careful as possible,” as well as, “I will go to greet you in person before moving in.”

Along with this, Ki Eun-se also released a photo of herself cleaning around the construction site, saying, “I am cleaning on site every day.”

Previously, a netizen who identified as a family member of a Pyeongchang-dong resident claimed on social media that renovation at Ki Eun-se’s single-family home was causing ongoing obstruction of vehicle traffic, noise, dust, and construction waste issues. In particular, the person expressed dissatisfaction, saying, “It seems they are trying to smooth over the inconvenience just because she is a celebrity,” and the controversy then spread online.

As the controversy grew, her agency also stated that it had apologized to residents and taken related measures. However, after Ki Eun-se posted content on social media with the words “I wish the world were warm” and shared another video from the construction site, public opinion worsened again. In the end, she deleted the video and moved to quell the situation by posting another apology along with photos verifying her cleanup efforts.

As I earned money and bought a home for the first time, I ended up with many things I wanted to do, so the construction schedule became a bit longer..
