In episode 24, airing on the 9th, Kim says, “I thought I shouldn’t get married and that I should support my family,” revealing that, as the youngest of four raised by a single mother, he once chose to remain unmarried due to difficult family circumstances.
Kim even told his then-girlfriend, “If you’re thinking of marrying me, I’d rather you didn’t,” but she delivered a blunt blow, saying, “Who said I’m marrying you? Let’s just date!” After they dated for three to four years, Kim decided he wanted to marry her and prepared a proposal, but sensing it, she suddenly disappeared. He further moves everyone by saying, “I still couldn’t bring myself to finish the green plum syrup my late mother made,” revealing his continued longing for her.
