‘The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards’

Actor Park Ji-Hoon proved his presence on the big screen as well, clinching the Best New Actor award.

At the ‘The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards’ held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 8th, the film division Best New Actor award went to Park Ji-Hoon of the film ‘The Man Who Lives With the King’. Actors Jung Sung-Il and Roh Yoon-Seo took the stage as presenters to offer their congratulations.

In ‘The Man Who Lives With the King’, which drew 16.8 million viewers and sparked a box-office sensation, Park Ji-Hoon delicately portrayed the young former king’s complex emotions, earning rave reviews as the ‘reincarnation of Danjong’.

Taking the stage, Park Ji-Hoon said, “I am grateful to Director Jang Hang-Jun, who believed in me to the very end,” and added, “In fact, before filming I had put on some weight and was a bit chubby, but even so, you cast me and believed in me until the end, and I am thankful.”

He did not forget to express respect for the senior he worked with. He added, “In my life, it was truly a great honor to be able to share energy on set with senior actor Yoo Hae-Jin,” and “I also sincerely thank the fans who always support me.”
