The girl group Billlie signaled their return to the music scene with a performance that showcased confident self-assurance, from bold vocals to distinctive rapping.
Billlie (Siyoon, Sheon, Tsuki, Moon Sua, Haram, Suhyeon, Haruna) appeared on KBS2 ‘Music Bank’ on the 8th and staged a comeback performance of the title track ‘ZAP’(ZAP) from their first full-length album ‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two’(the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two).
Appearing in chic all-black styling, Billlie exuded an even deeper dark charisma. Even amid a torrent of gossip and external noise, they expressed unwavering, confident self-assurance in the moment of returning wholly to ‘the me of now’ through a powerful beat, bold vocals, and distinctive rapping.
From the intro, Billlie detonated condensed energy, presenting a spectacle of powerful yet fluid group choreography that kept eyes glued every moment. The seven members displayed overwhelming stage command with steady live vocals.
Billlie added a highlight with a ‘hook dance’ whose padlock-shaped hand movements seemed to unlock secrets, and further heightened the tension through narration parts by Tsuki and Haruna. Deeply immersed in the song, the members offered an endless array of rich visuals, down to their delicate facial expressions and gestures.
On the 6th, Billlie released their first full-length album ‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter two’, and the double title tracks ‘ZAP’ and ‘WORK’(WORK) are showing signs of a twin-track hit, firing the signal of a successful comeback. In line with this, Billlie's first full-length album ranked high on iTunes Top Albums charts in various countries and regions, including Canada and Turkiye, after its release. In addition, Billlie's previous works also re-entered the same charts, proving the heated interest.
