‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ packed viewers’ Friday night with a food trip and a slice of trot as Jun Hyun-mooKwak Tube teamed up with Hong Ji-yoonSolji to uncover only the ‘real’ hotspots in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang.

In episode 30 of the full-on real curbside food-umentary ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ (co-produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband), which aired on Friday the 8th, Jun Hyun-mooKwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) enjoyed a food trip in the hottest ‘city of festivals,’ Gimcheon, with ‘Trot Barbie’ Hong Ji-yoon and ‘Trot Idol’ Solji. From mini gimbap to briquette-grilled bulgogi and oil-drained grilled beef intestines, they cleared every dish and unearthed Gimcheon’s hidden eateries, sending viewers into a frenzy.

Arriving in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang, Jun Hyun-moo said, “This really is a hot and hip city. The gimbap festival alone drew 150,000 people last year,” revealing his anticipation. He continued, “Two people parents really love!” as he welcomed his ‘eating friends’ Hong Ji-yoon and Solji, and the two instantly turned the scene into a festive party with a verse of trot perfect for Parents Day. Right after arriving in Gimcheon, they even handed over mini gimbap they had bought themselves, taking care of the ‘first meal in Gimcheon’ and adding warmth. As a cozy mood flowed from the start, Jun Hyun-moo immediately teased the next spot: “The place we are headed to sells black pork, and the fire for grilling is briquettes,” he shouted, and all four pairs of eyes sparkled at once.

They arrived at a briquette-grilled bulgogi favorite. Seated in the outdoor area with an old-school vibe, the four began grilling ‘Jirye black pork’ over briquettes. Kwak Tube said, “It feels like a getaway to a pension lodge. Since it is a mountain village, the breeze is so nice,” fully immersed in the travel mood. While enjoying a healing mukbang, Jun Hyun-moo suddenly asked, “As a singer, is there anything you feel you do better than Solji?” Without hesitation, Hong Ji-yoon replied, “I think I am better at ‘kkeokgi’,” and Solji coolly acknowledged it. Jun Hyun-moo then praised her, saying, “On ‘Hyeon-yeok Gawang,’ she felt like teacher Joo Hyun-mi. It was similar to the songs I listened to in my father's car,” lauding her as the ‘post Joo Hyun-mi.’ Riding the mood, Hong Ji-yoon and Solji gifted an impromptu live performance for the restaurant owner in keeping with the Parents Day special, warmly coloring the scene.

Afterward, the four moved to the next course, an ‘old-school daechang (beef intestine) favorite.’ Thanks to the two from ‘Hyeon-yeok Gawang,’ the booking wrapped up easily, and they began round two. When Hong Ji-yoon tasted napa cabbage and said, “I still do not quite get this taste,” showing her carnivore side, Jun Hyun-moo laughed, “Maybe you are not at that age yet.” Kwak Tube immediately threw a fastball: “Born in 1995, right?” and Hong Ji-yoon shot back, “I turned thirty-one after my birthday.” Cracking up, Kwak Tube passed the ball to Jun Hyun-moo with, “Hyun-moo hyung has been 48 for three years~,” and Jun Hyun-moo nimbly replied, “That is what they say at the pharmacy, what can I do~.” To Kwak Tube’s sharp follow-up, “Then when do you become 50?” Jun Hyun-moo joked, “In about 11 years? And the law could change again.”

In the cheerful mood, Jun Hyun-moo asked Solji, who is also active with the girl group EXID, “What made you take on trot?” Solji answered, “I got a call from ‘Hyeon-yeok Gawang,’ so I asked my mom. My family strongly recommended it.” Jun Hyun-moo gave a thumbs up, saying, “Your mother has foresight. Truly a divine move.” Just then, the ‘seasoned grilled daechang,’ with the fat thoroughly rendered out, arrived; surprised by the clean taste without greasiness, Jun Hyun-moo said, “Since doing ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan,’ today seems like the day I am saying ‘so delicious’ the most,” offering a 100% genuine reaction.

After neatly polishing off even the fried rice, they moved on to a talk about industry rankings. Jun Hyun-moo asked, “Is competition among young female trot singers fierce?” When Hong Ji-yoon hesitated, Kwak Tube quickly asked, “What rank do you think you are among MCs?” Jun Hyun-moo said, “Top three. Yoo Jae-suk, Shin Dong-yup, Jun Hyun-moo!” and added, “I do not mean I am better, I mean by number of programs and activity level.” When Kwak Tube asked again, “Then what about Kim Sung-joo?” Jun Hyun-moo neatly summarized, “Sung-joo hyung is number one in the world at live hosting! I am the type who does a variety of things.” Hong Ji-yoon said, “I also think I am in the top three,” then confidently declared, “Song Ga-in, Hong Jin-young, and me!”

Lastly, Hong Ji-yoon and Solji expressed how they felt about appearing on ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ with a line of song. With the ‘Gimcheon food trip’ wrapping up colorfully and richly, the teaser at the end of the broadcast previewed the ‘It Is Alive’ special to unfold in Samcheok, Gangwon Province, heightening expectations for the next episode.
