On MBC ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, Choi Kang-hee makes a triumphant return, going from a cleaning fairy to a robot vacuum ad model.
In episode 397 of MBC’s variety program ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ (planned by Kang Young-seon, directed by Kim Yun-jip·Jeon Jae-uk·Kim Hae-ni·Jeong Dong-sik·Lee Da-un, writer Yeo Hyeon-jeon) airing today (the 9th), viewers will see Choi Kang-hee’s commercial shoot in full-on actor mode, along with a swimming challenge with director Yang Chi-seung and actor Sung Hoon.
During her previous appearance on ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, Choi Kang-hee became a major talking point for being ‘serious about cleaning’. From various cleaning tools reflecting her special tips to meticulous attention that missed no corner, her exceptional passion turned her into a ‘cleaning fairy’. In particular, she transformed the home of her ‘guy friend’ Choi Daniel, who lives alone, into a spotless space as if a real fairy had visited, drawing admiration. Impressed advertisers took notice of this side of her and cast her as a robot vacuum model. Anticipation among the show’s panel is rising for the commercial shoot made possible by ‘Omniscient Interfering View’.
On the day, ahead of her first commercial shoot in a while, Choi Kang-hee shows both excitement and nerves. But during preparations, a red bruise on her cheekbone is spotted, startling everyone. It turns out the mark came from doing gua sha with a wallpaper roller before the shoot. After kicking things off with this quirky episode, once filming begins she switches into pro mode as if nothing happened, checking each cut meticulously and radiating her professional aura. The unexpected charm of actor Choi Kang-hee, oscillating between offbeat-lovely and professional, is set to firmly hold viewers’ attention.
Meanwhile, Choi Kang-hee also reunites with her ‘teacher’, director Yang Chi-seung. Visiting Yang, who, after falling victim to a jeonse fraud, is managing the community facilities of a newly built apartment in Cheongdam-dong, she embarks on intensive swimming training with actor Sung Hoon. Last year, during an appearance on MBC’s variety show ‘It’s a Relief If You Get Plenty of Rest’, Choi Kang-hee and Yang had envied Sung Hoon’s swimming skills; this time, they decide to learn from scratch, starting with how to float.
But it won’t be easy from the start. The two draw laughs with true-beginner skills, unable to float on the water as they wish. Under Sung Hoon’s tailored guidance, they will take on survival swimming to the dog paddle, setting up an unpredictable bit of water play(?). Curiosity grows over what level Choi Kang-hee and Yang Chi-seung can reach.
