Kian84 won the Variety Award at the ‘62nd Baeksang Arts Awards’. On the 8th, at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, he attended the ‘62nd Baeksang Arts Awards with Gucci’ and took home the TV variety award.
Accepting the trophy, Kian84 said, “After living as a cartoonist for about 10 years, I began working in television, and thanks to meeting great production staff, I was able to come this far. I am very grateful for such a big award.”
He then looked back on his representative appearances to date, ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang’ Seasons 1 and 2, ‘Extreme 84’, and ‘Born to Travel the World’, and conveyed his thanks to the cast who endured the hardships together, saying, “Everyone worked hard, and thank you.”
With an irreplaceable character and sincere appeal, Kian84 is making big strides across a variety of broadcasts and content. Alongside the long-running MBC program ‘I Live Alone’, on which he has been a fixed member for more than 10 years, he reveals his unvarnished daily life through his YouTube channel ‘Life84’.
In the MBC running variety program ‘Extreme 84’, which aired from last November to this February, his ‘super-extreme’ challenge of taking on marathon courses beyond imagination drew both laughter and emotion from viewers, earning great affection. Recently, he has been receiving a spate of offers from the advertising industry, broadening his presence across multiple fields.
Through the Netflix guesthouse variety ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang Season 2’, slated for release in the third quarter of this year, Kian84 will return as a guesthouse owner, continuing an outlandish operation diary set against Daegwallyeong in winter, and is set to meet global viewers with an even more upgraded presence.
With his trademark spirit of challenge and unpredictable humanity, Kian84 has driven both popularity and buzz for his programs, and by clinching an award at the ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’, he once again proved his influence with the public.
