Girl group NMIXX sings a heartfelt serenade of love to its fandom and has also prepared a music video that stands out for romantic visuals.
Ahead of their comeback, NMIXX has released the music video teaser for the new song ‘Heavy Serenade’(Heavy Serenade). NMIXX will release on the 11th the new mini album ‘Heavy Serenade’ and the title track of the same name. JYP Entertainment unveiled the title track music video teaser on the official social media channels at midnight on the 10th, driving comeback fever to a peak.
The teaser depicts NMIXX making a serenade filled with weighty love to reach NSWER (the fandom name) in another dimension. Set against blue natural scenery, direction that highlights the chemistry among the members is rendered with an aesthetic mood, while intercut scenes of using various audio devices to capture and record sound heighten curiosity about the full version. Brief glimpses of the new song performance further amplify expectations for the stage.
The title track ‘Heavy Serenade’ is a song that intricately fuses electronic music elements such as trance, acid, and drum and bass with pop. A chorus sound that splendidly decorates the mysterious mood and an explosive feeling of love serves as a key listening point. Lyrics solely written by singer-songwriter Han Roro lyrically express a sincere heart that conveys assured love.
The new release includes six tracks in total, led by the title track of the same name, with the b-sides ‘Crescendo’(Crescendo) and ‘LOUD’(LOUD), to which Lily contributed lyrics, ‘IDESERVEIT’(IDESERVEIT), ‘Different Girl’(Different Girl) with lyrics by BAE, and ‘Superior’(Superior).
About seven months after releasing the first studio album ‘Blue Valentine’(Blue Valentine) in October last year, NMIXX returns with a new serenade. With ‘Heavy Serenade’, they sing of heavy and steadfast love and are expected to deliver a profound resonance that reaches the hearts of listeners, drawing attention.
Meanwhile, the fifth mini album by NMIXX, ‘Heavy Serenade’, will be officially released at 6 p.m. on May 11. Before that, they will hold a countdown live at 4:40 p.m. to celebrate the comeback with fans.
