Hanwha Life Esports’ unbeaten run continued into Week 6.

In the Week 6 matches of “LoL Champions Korea” (LCK) held from the 6th to the 10th, Hanwha Life showcased unshakable form even amid overseas commitments such as the “Kiwoom DRX Homefront” in Hanoi, Vietnam, widening the gap to two matches over second-place Gen.G (9-3).

Gen.G and KT Rolster, second and third by set differential, also kept up their pursuit of the leaders, and with T1 joining in, the ‘one powerhouse, three contenders’ structure was completed.

T1 defeated DN Supers and then, on the 10th, took down Dplus KIA to record back-to-back wins. At 8-4, T1 climbed into sole fourth, laying the foundation to chase the top tier.

By contrast, Dplus KIA, who had beaten both Gen.G and T1 in Round 1 while aiming to break into the top tier, slowed in Round 2. Finishing Week 6 with two straight losses, Dplus KIA sat at 6-6, in fifth place two matches behind T1.

As the upper-mid-table landscape comes into focus, the full-fledged battle for positions toward the LCK MSI representative qualifier is underway.

The team that stood out most in Week 6 was Hanjin Brion. Having languished at the bottom after a six-game losing streak early in the season, Hanjin Brion started their surge by upsetting KT Rolster last week, then this week swept BNK FearX and Nongshim RedForce to extend their winning run to four.

At the center is tenth-year veteran bottom laner “Teddy” Park Jin-seong. Park led the team to victories against DN Supers, KT Rolster, and Nongshim RedForce, and was selected POM (Player of the Match) in all three.

Jumping to sixth place, Hanjin Brion can now set their sights on the LCK MSI representative qualifier.

Meanwhile, the LCK’s first-ever overseas team roadshow, “Kiwoom DRX Homefront,” came to a close amid passionate support from fans in Hanoi, Vietnam. Over three days, the 12,000-seat Hanoi Exhibition Center saw a constant stream of Vietnamese fans.

Buoyed by local support, Kiwoom DRX lost to Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports, but on the 10th they also showed their mettle by taking a set off Hanwha Life Esports, who are currently alone in first.

Kiwoom DRX’s Vietnamese bottom laner ‘Lazyphil’ Tran Bao Minh said, “I was happy to be able to face the support of Vietnamese fans,” adding, “I’m grateful not only to Kiwoom DRX fans but also to the Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports fans who came all the way to Vietnam.”
