On the 10th, ILLIT (Yuna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) saw the title track ‘It’s Me’ from its 4th mini album ‘MAMIHLAPINATAPAI’ hit No. 1 on YouTube Music Korea ‘Trending Music’, No. 3 on Bugs, No. 3 on FLO, No. 5 on Melon ‘Top 100’, and No. 6 on Genie, placing it in the top tier of real-time charts.
Its steep rise on the daily charts also draws attention. ‘It’s Me’ entered the Melon daily chart at No. 83 (as of May 3), then climbed to No. 46 (as of May 5), No. 28 (as of May 6), and No. 12 (as of May 9), raising its rank day after day. Overseas response is also red-hot. After hitting No. 53 on Apple ‘Top 100 Today’ Global chart, which tallies the songs most played by Apple Music users worldwide (as of May 9), it also placed No. 12 on Japan Spotify ‘Daily Top Songs’ (as of May 8) and No. 9 on China QQ Music ‘New Songs Chart’ (as of May 9), underscoring a formidable global presence.
Content related to ‘It’s Me’ draws buzz each time it is released. In a recently released dance practice video, ILLIT hinted at immense practice time with impeccably in-sync, ‘razor-sharp’ choreography, slyly playful eye work, and delicacy fine enough to control even a single strand of hair. A unique collaboration video featuring ILLIT in taekwondo uniforms with the youth taekwondo demonstration team ‘Little K-Tigers (Little KTIGERS)’ also delivered fresh fun. The high-difficulty choreography of ‘It’s Me’, with relentless, powerful movements, combined with dazzling taekwondo techniques to create intense synergy.
The familiar melody also spawned an unexpected meme. The momentum is continuing through active promotions by the members. Wonhee and Yuna were selected as special MCs for MBC ‘Show!
