“Even gave up the CT results”… Soyou, ‘fighting through injury’ after an escalator fall during a music video shoot

Singer Soyou displayed exceptional resolve by pushing ahead with filming even after a harrowing accident in which she tumbled down an escalator during the shoot for her new music video.
On the 11th, the official YouTube channel ‘Soyougi’ of Soyou released a video titled ‘Ended up in the ER while shooting the MV… | [Off Hours] Behind’. The video captured, in full, the tense moment when Soyou suffered an unexpected accident during rehearsal for her new music video.
According to the footage, Soyou lost her balance on a subway-station escalator and rolled down, and she was rushed to a nearby emergency room. In this unforeseen situation, the on-site production team convened an emergency meeting and sought to cancel the subway-scene shoot entirely. However, within two hours of the accident, Soyou returned to the set and expressed her determination to continue filming.

Reassuring the startled crew by saying, “It is just a bruise,” she then described the harrowing moment: “I do not even remember the instant I screamed. When I went to the emergency room, my blood pressure was very low. I was so shocked that I do not remember.” She continued, “But even as it kept hurting, I said, ‘Ah, we need to shoot the subway scene; please find a way,’” revealing professional focus that thought only of filming despite the injury.
She also confessed that she even postponed a detailed examination. Soyou said, “I was originally supposed to receive the CT results, but I said, ‘No. I will just go,’ and left,” showing an uncommon sense of responsibility. To the production staff who were concerned about the remaining schedule and her health, she replied, “I am continuously telling myself inside, ‘It does not hurt,’” and stayed on site until the end.
Under the video, internet users left comments such as, “A music video made through fighting spirit despite injury is precious,” and “It is a relief you were not badly hurt.”
