BOYNEXTDOOR(BOYNEXTDOOR) appeared on a popular radio program and treated listeners to a live performance of the pre-release track ‘Knock Knock Knock’ from their first studio album.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Riu, Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak) appeared on SBS PowerFM ‘2 Oclock Escape Cultwo Show’, which aired in the afternoon on the 12th. In the ‘Special Live’ segment, broadcast as a viewable radio, the six members performed ‘Knock Knock Knock’, the pre-release track from their first studio album ‘HOME’ that was unveiled the previous day (the 11th). They put on a high-energy stage with tight rap, drawing an enthusiastic response from listeners.
The six members brought out the charm of the song to the fullest with rapping that excelled in dynamic control and a powerful chorus. Their booming vocals that filled the studio and confident stage manners also elicited roaring cheers from the audience. They further showcased their prowess by delivering flawless live performances of ‘Serenade’, one of the title tracks from their debut album ‘WHO!’, and ‘Hollywood Action’, the title track of their fifth mini album ‘The Action’. Fired up by the lively stage, the audience chanted the team name in excitement.
Cha Tae-hyun, who co-hosted with DJ Kim Tae-gyun, lavished praise on their skills, saying, “The lyric ‘out of the blue to your front gate’ leaves a strong impression. The energy of the members is so hot. Both the song and the stage manners are great, so it is fun to watch.” Listeners also responded, “I have been humming the lyrics of ‘Knock Knock Knock’ all day,” and “I cannot even gauge how well this will do.”
They also took time to introduce the new song. “Zico, producer Pop Time, senior artists Penomeco and Lil Moshpit, and members Myeong Jaehyeon, Taesan, and Unhak all took part in working on the track. It is a song that signals our first full-length album. It carries a bold declaration that we will appear before the world without notice. We are truly confident in the performance,” they said, heightening anticipation for the stage. BOYNEXTDOOR will appear on music programs this week to present the stage for ‘Knock Knock Knock’.
Released at 6 p.m. on the 11th, ‘Knock Knock Knock’ is drawing strong interest from music fans at home and abroad. At midnight on the 12th, the song ranked 56th on Melon ‘Top 100’ and held second on YouTube Trending Music until 1 p.m. that day. By 4 p.m. the same day, it had placed on iTunes ‘Top Songs’ in seven countries/regions, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye.
Set for release at 6 p.m. on June 8, the first full-length album ‘HOME’ is a record that candidly weaves together emotions drawn from the group experiences during its activities.
