Yoo Hae-jin, who clinched the Grand Prize at the Baeksang Arts Awards for the film ‘The Man Who Lives With the King’, has also drawn attention from the advertising industry, marking a double celebration.
VAST Entertainment, his agency, said on the 15th, “Yoo Hae-jin has been selected as the model for the folk liquor brand ‘Hwanggeumju’ from the traditional liquor brand company Woorisul Company.”
‘Hwanggeumju’ is a representative folk liquor of the Gyeongju region that has continued since the Silla period, and it is a nationally designated folk liquor recorded in various ancient texts such as ‘Samguk Sagi’, ‘Samguk Yusa’. Production was halted in 2019, but news of a relaunch after about seven years has recently drawn attention both inside and outside the industry.
This campaign focuses on conveying both the historical significance and popular appeal of traditional liquor. In particular, Yoo Hae-jin, with his uniquely approachable yet sincere image, aligns with the brand direction and is expected to generate synergy.
Yoo Hae-jin has long been loved by the public for his solid acting skills and distinctive presence. At the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 8th, he won the Grand Prize in the film category for <The Man Who Lives With the King>, once again proving his depth of craft and broad popular appeal.
