Actress Kim Sa-rang (48), a former Miss Korea, reportedly had one of her apartments in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do seized by the tax authorities last month over national tax arrears.

According to Ilyo Shinmun on the 15th, one apartment unit in Gimpo owned by Kim Sa-rang was seized by the Samseong Tax Office on the 6th of last month.

As of January, the officially disclosed price of the apartment is 366 million won. The recent market price is about 600 million won.

In addition to the Gimpo apartment, Kim Sa-rang also owns one apartment unit in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. No seizure record has been confirmed for the Cheongdam-dong apartment.

Kim Sa-rang purchased a unit in a Cheongdam-dong apartment in the 1.5 billion won range in 2016, and as of 2024 she was also known to own one apartment each in Cheongdam-dong and Gimpo.

Recently, on her YouTube channel, Kim Sa-rang revealed the interior of the living space where she stays with her pet dog and claimed she suffered damage due to shoddy interior construction. She later expressed her frustration, saying, “I was going to write an email to the Minister of Justice.”

For Kim Sa-rang, the seizure can be lifted if the arrears are paid in full after the seizure registration, but if nonpayment continues, it could lead to a public auction.
