Comedian Ahn Yun-sang, known as the ‘No. 1 in impressions,’ makes a surprise return to the KBS2 ‘Gag Concert’ stage. He forms an impressions choir with Kim Seong-won·Yang Ki-woong to put together a segment.
This will be under ‘Gag Concert-All-Out Singing Contest,’ where Ahn Yun-sang·Kim Seong-won·Yang Ki-woong present the Rose track ‘Apartment’ as a choral impression. ‘Gag Concert’ also introduces a new corner, ‘Gift-of-Gab Commentary Desk,’ that calls couple fights like a sports broadcast.
‘Gag Concert,’ airing at 10:40 p.m. on the 17th, features comedian Ahn Yun-sang in the new corner ‘All-Out Singing Contest.’ Ahn, a member of the KBS 22nd cohort who debuted in 2007, drew attention with impressions and musical comedy in segments such as ‘Bufferings,’ ‘Superstar KBS,’ and ‘Bongsunga School.’
Since then, he has showcased his specialty, impressions, on various radio programs and YouTube channels, and is regarded as the leading figure in impressions.
The new corner he appears in, ‘All-Out Singing Contest,’ features unique contestants who show their specialties, dance, and songs. Ahn Yun-sang competes on ‘All-Out Singing Contest’ as a team with comedians Kim Seong-won·Yang Ki-woong, who excel at sound imitation.
The three introduce themselves as “Though there are three, we are an ‘Impressions Choir’ of 60.” The first song they will sing on ‘All-Out Singing Contest’ is the Rose track ‘Apartment,’ inviting curiosity about what voices they will bring to the stage. Expectations are also high for which other contestants will take the stage on ‘All-Out Singing Contest’ in addition to the ‘Impressions Choir.’
Another new corner, ‘Gift-of-Gab Commentary Desk,’ is a sketch that shows conflicts between lovers and friends in real time like a sports broadcast. Lee Ha-seo and Ahn Hyun-woo appear as the commentary team, with Park So-ra and Yoon Jae-woong as the players.
In the first broadcast, it calls the couple fight between the ‘older woman’ Park So-ra and the ‘younger man’ Yoon Jae-woong. Word has it that, despite being a new corner, the realistic content and thrilling commentary quickly drew the on-site audience in.
KBS2 ‘Gag Concert’ airs at 10:40 p.m. on the 17th.
