TV Chosun variety show ‘Lovers of Joseon’
Im Jae-wook of Position, finding himself in the role of a faceless singer (?), heads out to put on a surprise performance for comedian Shim Hyun-seop's ‘♥Jung Young-rim’.
On the 18th, the ‘original lovemaster’ Shim Hyun-seop rents out an entire small theater to celebrate the first wedding anniversary with ♥Jung Young-rim, and the broadcast will show an event where the appearance of an ‘ultra-special guest’ turns the scene upside down.
Appearing as a guest, Im Jae-wook of Position explodes with hurt feelings, saying, “I came at 4 a.m., and you only fed me one meal,” while Shim Hyun-seop creates a laughably sad situation by calling in his best friend and leaving him parked backstage (?).
On the TV Chosun variety show ‘Lovers of Joseon’, Im Jae-wook of ‘Position’ makes a surprise appearance and showcases ‘best-friend chemistry’ with Shim Hyun-seop. In the pre-released clip of ‘Lovers of Joseon’, the ‘Prince of Ballads’ Im Jae-wook is seen boarding a train to Ulsan with Shim Hyun-seop.
In the video, Im Jae-wook starts grumbling, “I woke up at 4 a.m. It is much farther than I thought.” He then adds, “I got up at 4 a.m. to shower, and I am not even sure I washed properly because I was worried the baby might wake up,” airing his woes and eliciting laughter.
The ‘grumbler’ mode of Im Jae-wook did not stop even during mealtime and in the taxi, and he expressed his disappointment with Shim Hyun-seop, saying, “I got up at 4 a.m. to come here, and you give me just one meal.”
The surprise performance for the first wedding anniversary that Shim Hyun-seop prepared for his wife Young-rim brought the disappointment of Im Jae-wook to a peak. The lyrics of the hit song ‘I Love You’ flowed out in the sweet, delicate voice of Im Jae-wook, but the one who actually received the spotlight on stage was Shim Hyun-seop. In particular, Shim Hyun-seop left his close friend Im Jae-wook, who had flown in since dawn, waiting backstage (?), drawing astonishment.
The jaw-dropping story of Shim Hyun-seop, who summoned his best friend to Ulsan from dawn and used him as a ‘voice shuttle (?)’, will be revealed on the hyper-realist documentary variety show ‘Lovers of Joseon’ at 10 p.m. on May 18.
