The a cappella group ‘Ingongwiseong’, whose members all graduated from Seoul National University and who drew attention in the 1990s, is appearing on television again after a long time.
They will appear on KBS2 music variety ‘Back to the Music Season 2’, airing on the 17th. Reuniting after 33 years, they are set to showcase their still-intact harmony.

Formed through a sub-group activity of the co-ed choir club at Seoul National University, ‘Ingongwiseong’ was a team that brought the then-unfamiliar a cappella genre in Korea onto the mainstream pop stage. As amateur college students, they succeeded in releasing an official album and, through their signature song ‘Could It Be Called Love?’, showcased the appeal of unaccompanied music.
Along with their unique profile as a ‘Seoul National University a cappella group’, their clear and pure voices and solid harmonies delivered a fresh shock to the pop scene. Their first album sold around 400,000 copies at the time. They went on to continue activities, releasing four studio albums and singles.

However, the group's activities were halted. After graduation, practical reasons such as employment, military service, and studying abroad took precedence. In this broadcast, as they mark their 33rd year, members of ‘Ingongwiseong’ reunite to share memories from that time and stories about their music.
They remain closely connected and, by retuning the harmonies internalized over many years, once again deliver the moving power of a cappella.

Through the broadcast, they return to the Seoul National University campus and candidly share how they first began a cappella, behind-the-scenes stories of their debut, episodes from their active years, and how each of them kept music in their lives.
The ‘Ingongwiseong’ episode of ‘Songcumentary Back to the Music Season 2’ will air at 11 p.m. on the 17th on KBS1.
