Jang Dong-ju, who has announced retirement from the entertainment industry, has also begun to wind down the cultural space he personally operated.

On the 16th, Jang Dong-ju stated via his SNS (social networking service), “I am selling the art center I have operated since 2020.”

Regarding this space, he explained that it is “a place that has added vitality to Sharosu-gil (a street near Seoul National University in Gwanak-gu) through performances by numerous artists,” and that it is “a space that can be operated not only for performances, rentals, and events but also as a 24-hour unmanned cafe, and it is currently operating normally.”

Jang Dong-ju said, “Given the schedule, I am considering a swift transfer of rights,” effectively inviting inquiries from those interested in taking over.

Earlier, on the 15th, Jang Dong-ju announced via SNS that he would step away from acting. He said, “As of today, I will lay down my life as actor Jang Dong-ju,” and added, “Although I am leaving the stage, I will not forget the support you have given.”

Last year, he disappeared after leaving an abrupt message on SNS, prompting concern among fans. During his return, he spoke of a hiatus due to personal matters and psychological difficulties. Early this year, he disclosed that he had been victimized in incidents involving his mobile phone and threats.

Jang Dong-ju debuted in 2017 with the drama ‘School 2017’ and went on to appear in ‘Mr. Temporary’ ‘Become Your Night’ ‘Trigger’, among others. Most recently, he also appeared in ‘From Today, I Am Human, However’.
