“Shattered a 15-year hiatus!”
The girl group SeeYa has made a dazzling return to the upper tiers of the charts with the audacious dance track ‘Stay’. Dancer Aiki’s surprise appearance in the music video also served as powerful support.
B-sides including ‘Like Spring, You’ and ‘The Seasons Come Full Circle’ entered the charts simultaneously, showcasing prowess honed over 15 years.
The title track ‘Stay’ from SeeYa’s full-length album ‘First, Again’, released on the 14th, entered the top ranks of major domestic music-site charts such as Melon HOT100 upon release, sparking an explosive response from listeners.
Alongside the title track’s success, the b-sides also broke into the charts, proving strong interest in the album as a whole. From ‘Like Spring, You’, which all the members picked as their favorite, to ‘The Seasons Come Full Circle’ and ‘I Believe’, to which Nam Gyu-ri contributed lyrics, each track is receiving even attention, showcasing a solid musical spectrum.

It once again proved such formidable digital chart power that the 15-year hiatus feels almost irrelevant.
The music video unveiled with the new song is likewise at the center of the buzz. Dancer Aiki, who billed herself as SeeYa’s ‘guest member’ and made a special appearance, delivered a chic and singular performance to the electronic dance beat, further heightening the video’s immersion and impact.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Aiki showed strong confidence in the track, saying, “When I first heard it, I thought it would be a smash right away. I think they might shoot straight to No. 1 with this song.”
The reason Aiki’s prediction could become reality immediately after release lies, of course, in SeeYa’s successful genre transformation.
The music video was filmed at Yeouido’s ‘The Hyundai Seoul’, a key landmark in Seoul, hinting at the overwhelming scale boasted by SeeYa’s new full-length album.
Having proven their signature SeeYa-style emotional balladry with the pre-release track ‘Nevertheless, We’, they took a bold leap into a trendy electronic dance genre with the new song ‘Stay’.
Their trademark tight vocal synergy, combined with an urban, chic charisma, delivered a refreshing jolt to the public.
Firing the starting signal for a successful return with the title track ‘Stay’ and opening a full-fledged second heyday, SeeYa is accelerating their activities as a complete group, launching their first-ever offline pop-up store simultaneously with the release.
