The stature of the ‘national representative singer’ resonated all the way to Vietnam.

The ‘Trot Queen’ Song Ga-in splendidly embroidered the night of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with Korean melodies.

At 7:30 p.m. (local time) on the 16th, at ‘Deo Geuraendeu Hojjam(The Grand Ho Tram)’ near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, she held a solo concert ‘Gain Dal The Chaoreuda’ and captivated the audience with impeccable vocals and commanding stage manners.

Appearing with a dazzling opening video, Song Ga-in opened the performance with ‘Gain-ieora’, a song that earned nationwide love. Song Ga-in said, “The heat in Vietnam is truly incredible. Not only Koreans but also many international fans have come. I sincerely thank you for traveling a long way. I have prepared many performances for you, and I will show them to you without holding back,” further heightening the atmosphere on site.

Then, she successively presented a setlist showcasing the essence of authentic trot, including ‘Oneul Gachi Joeun Nal’, ‘Geomungo-ya’, and ‘Hanmaneun Daedonggang’, instantly firing up the venue.

In particular, a highlight of this performance was the collaboration with the traditional music group ‘Urisori Baraji(BARAJI)’, who took part as special guests. From the moment they appeared, Baraji created dynamic rhythms with traditional instruments such as the jing, buk, janggu, and taepyeongso, and with the ‘Muchwita’ stage, drove the exhilaration in the hall to a peak.

Taking the stage next, Song Ga-in presented Namdo folk songs such as ‘Seongju Puri’, ‘Namwon Sanseong’, and ‘Jindo Arirang’ through a special collaborative performance with Baraji, conveying the unique elegance and spirit of Korea intact and drawing a standing ovation. The high-caliber stage where gugak and trot met was more than enough to demonstrate the expansion of K-content.

In the latter half of the concert, Song Ga-in poured her heart into ‘Bi Naerineun Gomoryeong’ and ‘Eomma Arirang’, offering deep comfort and nostalgia to Korean expatriates living abroad. In the finale ‘Trot Medley (Gohyang-yeok, Cheongchun-eul Dollyeodao, etc.)’ stage, the entire audience became one in a grand sing-along, making the popularity of K-trot in Vietnam palpable.

Filling the 700-seat venue to capacity, Song Ga-in once again proved her prowess as a ‘national representative singer’ through this Vietnam concert. For local Korean residents, it became a special gift conveying the sentiments of the homeland, and for Vietnamese fans, it reportedly etched the distinctive depth and resonance of Korean trot.

Notably, her Korean fandom AGAIN(Again) even traveled to Vietnam to offer fervent support, further heating up the local enthusiasm. In addition, for local Korean residents and fans, Song Ga-in held a surprise event, sharing gifts she had prepared in Korea, giving attendees unforgettable memories and demonstrating exceptional love for her fans.

Meanwhile, having successfully wrapped up the Vietnam concert, Song Ga-in plans to continue her path as the empress of trot through a variety of activities ahead.
