The arrival of a smart tablet poised to heighten the tension in ‘Toy Story’ has been teased.

The film ‘Toy Story 5’, set to open on the 17th of next month, has released its first stills, previewing the journey of toys facing a crisis with the appearance of ‘Bonnie’s new friend ‘Lilypad’.

‘Jessie’, looking at ‘Bonnie’s new friend ‘Lilypad’ together with ‘Bullseye’, is at first filled with curiosity, but soon grows wary of ‘Lilypad’, which shows off cutting-edge technology.

The comeback of ‘Woody’, who appears upon receiving Jessie’s SOS signal. However, after Jessie and Woody regroup with ‘Buzz’ for the first time in a while, they soon confront an unexpected situation, amplifying curiosity about what lies ahead.

In this way, ‘Toy Story 5’ captures the story of toys experiencing an unprecedented crisis amid changing times, while also promising a moving, resonant message that transcends generations.

Andrew Stanton, who won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘WALL-E’ and previously worked on the ‘Toy Story’ series, directs, joined by McKenna Harris, who served as a producer on ‘Elemental’.

In addition, the actors who portrayed characters in the previous ‘Toy Story’ series return, including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, and Joan Cusack as Jessie, while the new friend Lilypad is played by Greta Lee, known for ‘Past Lives’ and ‘Tron: Ares’, further boosting its appeal.
