Peniel of idol group BTOB has begun gearing up for his solo comeback on the 22nd, unveiling a stylish ‘IDKI’ logo-morphing teaser.
The video, steeped in a wistful mood, draws the eye and creates a vintage vibe, further fueling curiosity about Peniel’s new song.
On the 18th, BTOB Company posted the logo-morphing video for Peniel’s digital single ‘IDKI’ via its social media channels. Along with it, they added the line “Still driving circles around goodbye. (still driving around the outskirts of a breakup),” hinting at the single’s wistful tone.
In the 20-second logo-morphing clip, various elements of a classic red car, including the license plate, hood ornament, fuel cap, windshield, navigation screen, and instrument panel, continuously transform into the ‘IDKI (ai-dee-kay-eye)’ logo in a striking effect.

The teaser connects narratively to the previously released coming-soon image, ‘Traffic Light,’ heightening immersion. The narrator’s forlorn emotions, unable to accept the breakup before a frozen red light and aimlessly circling through a city at crimson sunset and along night streets shrouded in deep darkness, are rendered to visual perfection.
The English phrases inserted at the top of the video, such as “I really thought you were the one for me but these days something feels off,” represent the narrator’s complicated inner state after realizing cracks in the relationship, piquing fans’ curiosity.
Having made a special appearance as Junho in season 3 of the Netflix series ‘XO, Kitty,’ cementing his position as a global multi-creator, Peniel is set to once again captivate listeners around the world as a solo artist following BTOB’s 14th-anniversary full-group activities.
Peniel’s new single ‘IDKI’ will be released at 6 p.m. on May 22 via various online music platforms.
