Kim Mi-jung, the wife of actor Lee Chang-hoon, stated, “We are living very, very happily in Gwacheon.” It has been about nine months since she publicly called out her husband on MBN's ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ last August by saying, “I'm living with real trash, not a husband.”

On the 19th, Kim directly stepped in by commenting under a post on her Threads account where a user had uploaded a couple verification photo, saying, “I'm the person you met that day.” She wrote, “Husband Lee Chang-hoon, 60; the wife is a former Miss Korea and not an actor.”

She added, “That strange actor story that circulated on Threads before wasn't about us,” and, “We are currently living very, very happily in Gwacheon.”

The photo in question was something she commented on directly under another user's post that read, “While passing through the neighborhood, I saw such a beautiful lady that I couldn't just walk by. It turned out she was an actor and was doing volunteer work.”

Kim also shared the background of the volunteer work. She explained, “My husband sometimes volunteers with the Love's Meal Truck, and as it was coming to the Gwacheon area, we joined by donating our products.” Lee Chang-hoon's volunteer activities can also be seen in a schedule disclosed on social networking services (SNS) by Gwacheon Mayor Shin Gye-yong. Mayor Shin also promoted “Actor Lee Chang-hoon Meal Truck.”

The couple Lee Chang-hoon and Kim Mi-jung are well known for their 16-year age difference. Born in 1966, Lee Chang-hoon married Kim in September 2008 at age 41, and the two have an only daughter.

The couple appeared together on ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ aired last August, drawing attention. In an episode themed ‘I Married Trash’, Kim prepared a video titled ‘I'm living with real trash, not a husband’ and revealed various parts of their home. A dressing room with clothes piled like a mountain, a refrigerator filled with 200 eels, and an album still containing photos of an actress he once dated were all broadcast.

The roots of the couple's conflict trace back to their early newlywed days. Kim once spoke about her newlywed depression on Channel A's variety program ‘Appa Bon Saek’, while Lee, on KBS's variety program ‘Park Won-sook-eui Gachi Sapsida 3’, shared that there was a period right after the wedding when he considered divorce.
