‘Pregnancy pressure’ followed by another controversy over childbirth remarks

Actress Seonwoo Yong-yeo has once again come under fire for remarks related to childbirth.
On the 20th, Seonwoo Yong-yeo shared on her YouTube channel footage of her visiting a plot of land in Yangsuri that she purchased 13 years ago.
She explained, “(Jeon) Won-ju and I bought the (land) because a girl in Yangsuri said she liked it; it is at the top of a mountain and the price was cheap. In the United States, the higher up the mountain you go, the more expensive it is,” and “So I thought, ‘Ah, great, I should build a hanok and come to rest.’ That was the original plan. But after buying the land, I had no money left to build a house.”
As Seonwoo Yong-yeo and the production staff continued a cheerful drive while chatting about various topics, the issue arose when Dumulmeori was mentioned.
When Seonwoo Yong-yeo said, “There are so many places to look around here in Yangpyeong,” the staff mentioned ‘Dumulmeori’. She then said, “Dumulmeori? I have not eaten that; what is it?” prompting laughter.

When the staff told her it is a place name, she laughed awkwardly and said, “Oh, that startled me. I thought, why is there a cow head here?”
Then, when the staff said, “A lot of adulterous couples come here,” Seonwoo Yong-yeo said, “Are there many affairs? Sigh, affair or whatever, tell them to have kids in droves. Our country needs many children right now.”
Even with concerns about the low birthrate, many pointed out that the remark ‘crossed the line’. Furthermore, given there had already been a controversy over pressuring pregnancy, this video appears to be branding her as unlikable.
In a video released last January titled ‘The final chapter of 81-year-old Seonwoo Yong-yeo, who pressured MZ couples to get pregnant and was harshly scolded’, she was shown urging the married staff to get pregnant, which sparked controversy.
Seonwoo Yong-yeo said, “The reason I tell you to have (a child) is that you now say you are happy because you are doing well as just the two of you, but when you are over 80 like me, the ones you rely on are your children,” and added, “Children are not something you can simply decide to have next year or the year after.”
When the staff said, “Everyone has their own life,” Seonwoo Yong-yeo countered, “I do not want to force it either.” The staff then pointed out again, “You are really forcing it.”
