Actor Joo Hae-eun has teamed up with Ma Dong-seok.

On the 1st, agency Ubon Company stated, “Joo Hae-eun is set to play Jung Ji-won in ‘Crime City 5’.”

The fifth installment of the ‘Crime City’ series, which set an unparalleled box-office record as the first Korean film series to achieve a triple ten-million milestone, ‘Crime City 5’ depicts a crime-sweeping operation mounted by the monster detective ‘Ma Seok-do’(Ma Dong-seok) against Lee Kang-tae(Kim Jae-young), who, after eight years of waiting, begins committing the worst crimes.

In the film, Joo Hae-eun appears as profiler Jung Ji-won, who collaborates with the Gwangsu Unit to capture an even more evolved criminal organization and conducts an active investigation, injecting fresh vitality. She is also expected to portray Jung Ji-won in a calm yet charismatic manner and to display perfect teamwork with ‘Ma Seok-do’.

After debuting with the film ‘Swing Kids’, Joo Hae-eun has moved across diverse genressuch as Netflix’s ‘Seonsan’ and ‘Hell’ Season 2perfectly inhabiting her roles and adding energy to each work. In particular, she earned praise last year for her brief but powerful presence as Yeom Se-ryeong in Disney+ ‘Nine Puzzle’, further heightening expectations for her participation in this film, ‘Crime City 5’.

‘Crime City 5’ completed pre-production and began principal photography on the 24th of last month.
