MC Mong, who is active as a singer and producer, again refuted the allegations about himself mentioned on MBC’s ‘PD Notebook’ aired on the 2nd.
On the 3rd, MC Mong held a live broadcast on his personal SNS(social networking service). This was his fourth live related to the ‘PD Notebook’ broadcast, following three sessions on the 18th, 19th, and 20th of last month.
Before this live, on the 2nd, the episode of MBC’s ‘PD Notebook’ titled ‘MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-pop Trade Secrets’ aired. MC Mong had kept expressing a wary stance ahead of its release, and this live can be seen as a response to the program.
He began by saying, “I feel fatigued, and I am very sorry for how fatigued viewers must feel.”
He also addressed the KakaoTalk messages interpreted as admitting an extramarital relationship with Chairman Cha Gawon. He said, “At the very least, ‘PD Notebook’ should have verified the truth with me,” denying the claim by adding, “Our company’s CEO, deputy CEO, and all staff went to Las Vegas together. If it were a honeymoon trip, why would we go with staff instead of just the two of us?”
He argued, “Interviews with taxi drivers and restaurant employees are nothing but hearsay,” and, “The current affairs program is making excuses about the expos TikTok broadcast I did. They are reusing photos already placed under a court injunction.”
He continued, “I truly will not tolerate this. It kills a person. The unresolved settlement issue (of Onehundred) arose after I was forced out of the company,” once again refuting all the allegations raised against him.
MC Mong co-founded Onehundred with Chairman Cha in 2023. However, in July last year, he was suddenly excluded from all duties and left the company. After ‘PD Notebook’ previewed a broadcast covering related allegations, he conducted three live sessions to deny them.
