Producer dress will release the collaborative album ‘MOHO’ with rapper Raf Sandou, drawing on autobiographical experiences.
Their collaborative album ‘MOHO(Moho)’ will be released at 6 p.m. on the 3rd through various online music platforms.
‘MOHO’ is an album created based on their personal experiences, documenting the point where the boundary between the two selves of producer and player becomes blurred.
dress and Raf Sandou place the most personal and candid melodies over meticulously designed sound, capturing unfiltered the process in which two identities collide and merge to form a unique musical domain.
The album includes the double title tracks ‘Skin of gold (Feat. DIMO REX, Joh!)(Skin of Gold)’, ‘~Only When (Feat. JUNNY)’, as well as ‘MOHO’, ‘Through a long night, I build a big house and wait for you, like yesterday (Feat. Ahn Dayoung)’, ‘Think of me(Think of Me)’, and ‘MGL (Feat. OKASHII)(MGL)’, for a total of six tracks expected to offer an immersive musical experience.
This album carries added significance as the first album by dress as an independent producer after leaving his company. In addition, a diverse lineup of artists, including OKASHII, Ahn Dayoung, DIMO REX, JUNNY, and Joh!, lends support, enhancing the listening experience.
dress explained the starting point of the album: “While working with Raf Sandou, it naturally led me to think that making a full album together would be good.” He went on to say that he had regarded Raf Sandou first and foremost as ‘a singer’ before a rapper, adding, “I kept asking for vocals rather than rap. Now that Raf Sandou has become well known, what the public imagines is likely a rapper. So for music fans, this album will instead feel fresh.” He also described it as “an album where multiple elements interlocked and found their place, with everything falling into place.”
Ahead of the release, dress and Raf Sandou, together with ‘Midnight Wave’, held a listening and interpretation event where they personally unpacked the meanings of the lyrics and the album story. The video is scheduled to be released in June on the YouTube channel ‘MIDNIGHT WAVE’.
