Singer and musical theater actor Bada (real name Choi Sung-hee) has stepped up to encourage voting in the local elections.

On the 3rd, Bada posted a photo certifying her vote on her social media along with a message. She wrote, “I hope today was a day when we fulfilled the most basic and precious right we can exercise, and our responsibility.”

In the photo, Bada visited a polling station wearing a cap pulled down. She assembled a voting look with a black T-shirt and a neutral-toned cap, seemingly to block political messaging.

Bada added, “Hoping that everyone’s voices come together for a better tomorrow, and wishing you a happy rest of the day.”

Bada debuted in 1997 as a member of the group S.E.S. Since then, with hits such as ‘I’m Your Girl’, ‘Oh, My Love’, ‘Dreams Come True’, and ‘As I Embrace You’, she has established herself as a symbol of first-generation K-pop girl groups.

She later scored solo hits such as ‘Mad’ and appeared in productions including ‘Notre-Dame de Paris’, ‘42nd Street’, and ‘Mozart’.

In 2017, she married a non-celebrity 10 years her junior and has one daughter.
