Actor Kim Hyun successfully wrapped the run of the play ‘Chunseom’s Lie’.

On the 30th of last month at the Grand Theater of the Arko Arts Theater in Daehak-ro, Seoul, Kim Hyun took the stage for the final performance of the play ‘Chunseom’s Lie’, an official selection of the 47th Seoul Theater Festival, captivating the audience with seasoned craft and singular acting, and bringing the production to a successful close.

The play ‘Chunseom’s Lie’ depicts the solidarity of self-directed women through the story of ‘Chunseom’, who gave birth to the righteous outlaw Hong Gil-dong. In the play, Kim Hyun takes on the role of the ‘matchmaker’, who advances Chunseom’s marriage and sets the events in motion, adding vitality to the production. In particular, with a characteristically resonant voice and composed stage presence, Kim Hyun perfectly embodied the slyly comic character, eliciting admiration.

After the final performance, through the agency Fantagio, Kim Hyun expressed deep affection for the work and colleagues, saying, “The colleagues who spent two months with me for the production of ‘Chunseom’s Lie’ are my companions and mentors for life. I extend my respect to the wonderful staff who always strove for a good work, and to the head who handled both writing and direction.”
