Actor Han Jung-soo criticized the Democratic Party in connection with the June 3 local elections.
On the 4th, Han posted on his social networking service (SNS) Instagram, “It is truly embarrassing. #DemocraticParty #Defeat,” and said, “Democratic Party, reflect. This local election is one the Democratic Party lost.”
He added, “They did not focus on the election and immersed themselves only in a power struggle over party leadership.”
In the June 3 local elections, the Democratic Party won in about 12 to 13 of the 17 metropolitan-level local government head posts nationwide.
Han has continued to make social remarks recently. In particular, on the 20th of last month, he posted on Instagram a photo of a Starbucks card cut with scissors along with the message, “Let us stop going now,” expressing his intention to join a Starbucks boycott.
On the 27th of last month, he criticized Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin, who apologized for the ‘Tank Day’ controversy at Starbucks Korea, saying, “The unbearable lightness of your being.”
