That day, a father serving in the police special operations unit and his two daughters participated together in the camp. In particular, the eldest daughter, although a senior in high school about to take the national college entrance exam, came to the camp to make memories with her father. The eldest daughter said, “My dream is to be a police officer, so I am preparing for the civil service,” and, “My role model is my dad,” creating a warm atmosphere.
Watching this, Lee Hyo-ri said, “It was nice to see the father acting endlessly doting and silly for his daughters,” and, “The way they seemed like friends yet respected their father made the time itself feel like a gift.”
Later, while preparing to leave the camp, Lee confided to Lee Sang-soon, “How wonderful it would be to love and respect your parents like that. I truly felt envious.”
In response, Lee Sang-soon empathized, saying, “How great must it be that she respects her father and wants to follow his profession.” When Lee Hyo-ri said, “The father had no trace of authoritarianism and seemed so much like a friend,” Lee Sang-soon agreed, “It is because the father treats them well.”
Afterwards, Lee Hyo-ri expressed regret, saying, “We could do that too…,” and Lee Sang-soon comforted her, saying, “We are on the same team. As teammates.”
Meanwhile, Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon married in 2013 and have maintained unwavering affection to this day. In the past, on a broadcast, they revealed their struggle with infertility, saying, “We do not want to go as far as IVF. We do not want to rely on the power of medicine. If a baby comes naturally, we would be so grateful and would want to raise the child with gratitude.”
