The camp of Chairman Cha Ga-won of PIAC, who faces various allegations raised by MBC ‘PD Notebook’, will launch a YouTube channel to issue rebuttals.

On the 5th, Attorney Hyun Dong-yeop of Hwagum Law Firm, the legal representative for Chairman Cha, stated, “We plan to release videos rebutting various allegations raised by ‘PD Notebook’, including the dispute over the jeonse contract of Lee Seung-gi and allegations of an affair with MC Mong.”

The vehicle appears to be a YouTube channel. Attorney Hyun added, “We are filming today and will release the first video this weekend or next week.”

This reveals a strategy to counter the expos by a legacy media program through another influential video format. In the MBC ‘PD Notebook’ episode aired on the 2nd, Chairman Cha faced allegations regarding unpaid settlements to OneHundred artists and staff, an affair with MC Mong, and overseas gambling trips.

The broadcast also featured a villa built by PIAC Group, where Cha serves as chairman, and disclosed that Lee Seung-gi moved in with a jeonse deposit of 10.5 billion won.

Lee Seung-gi said, “Chairman Cha recommended moving, saying the floor above his home was vacant. I kept refusing, but since I had nowhere to turn, I eventually moved in,” and added, “After the move, I was asked for a jeonse deposit more than three times the amount I first heard. The promise to bear the loan interest until the end was not kept, either.”

In response, representatives for Chairman Cha challenged the content of the broadcast, asserting that “the side of Lee Seung-gi is misunderstanding the facts regarding the jeonse amount,” but the side of Lee Seung-gi has refused requests for corrections, and the standoff continues.

Lee Seung-gi signed an exclusive contract in 2024 with Big Planet Made Entertainment, a label under OneHundred, but in April notified of contract termination, citing unpaid settlements.
