A man in his 40s who was sent to the prosecution in custody on charges of breaking into the home of actress Kim Gyu-ri and committing robbery is reported to have carried out the offense while he was on trial in another case.

According to MBN on the 5th, this man, Mr. A, was apprehended earlier this year while attempting to break into the home of broadcaster Seo Dong-ju. The police sought a detention warrant and temporary measure No. 4 (holding in a detention cell) against Mr. A on charges of housebreaking and stalking, but the court rejected the detention warrant, and he was sent to trial without physical detention.

Mr. A is accused of breaking into the home of Kim Gyu-ri in Bukchon Hanok Village, Jongno-gu, Seoul, at about 9 p.m. on May 20. Mr. A allegedly threatened Kim Gyu-ri and her female cohabitant with a weapon and attempted to take valuables, and it is reported that Kim Gyu-ri was injured. Mr. A was sent to the prosecution in custody on May 29.

During police questioning, Mr. A stated to the effect that he confirmed the location by watching a broadcast video in which the house of Kim Gyu-ri appeared.
