Actor Jung Ga-eun revealed that she had been hospitalized and treated for a severe lung condition, and shared an update that she has recovered and is taking the stage in a play.
On the 6th, Jung Ga-eun wrote on her social media, Instagram, “I have been a bit absent, have I not? In fact, I was busy immersed in rehearsals, and along the way I became sick and ended up being hospitalized,” sharing how she has been.
She wrote, “Even during treatment, I kept looking over the script whenever I could; the play I prepared for so diligently, ‘Dangerous People’. At last, I am going on stage today. I will greet you from the stage with all my heart,” and added the hashtag ‘#FightingSpiritFromTheSickbed’, revealing her passion for acting.
In particular, she revealed the reason for her hospitalization as “There was a hole in my lung,” evoking sympathy. In the photos released together, Jung Ga-eun lies in a hospital bed with a tube in her nose, looking somewhat gaunt. However, she added, “Not today. I was discharged safely~ I am now going to the play in good health,” letting it be known that she has recovered well. In a photo taken after her discharge, she had regained her characteristic bright smile, reassuring fans.
After overcoming a health scare and returning to her main profession, the ‘working nonstop’ streak of Jung Ga-eun is ongoing. Since her 2018 divorce, she has been raising her daughter alone, and as a working mom and TV personality, she has not stopped taking on challenges across many fields.
