As rallies demanding a re-vote, sparked by the shortage of ballot papers in the June 3 local elections, continue, influencer Hong Young-gi, actor Choi Jun-yong, and singer JK Kim Dong-wook have been visiting related sites or sharing their views on social media.
Influencer Hong Young-gi, from ‘Ulzzang Generation’, on the 6th posted several photos and videos taken around the Olympic Park Handball Arena in Songpa District, Seoul, on her social media. The published posts included phrases such as "Please tell the media" and "The media are reporting citizens as a protest crowd," along with scenes of citizens calling for a re-vote. Some videos also included the voices of participants chanting "Re-vote."

Actor Choi Jun-yong also shared a video from the scene on his social media with the phrase ‘Handball Arena, the sacred ground of democratization’. Singer JK Kim Dong-wook likewise posted photos showing rally participants, writing, "Reporters, what are you doing, taking the weekend off?", and also revealed a picture of a Korean flag he drew himself.

During the main vote on June 3, at several polling stations including the No. 2 polling station in Jamsil 7-dong, Songpa District, Seoul, a shortage of ballot papers led to voters waiting for extended periods. Subsequently, some citizens criticized poor election management and demanded a re-vote, continuing rallies around the Jamsil 7-dong No. 2 polling station.

On the 5th, police deployed 18 riot units and about 1,000 personnel to disperse rally participants near the polling station. The delayed ballot boxes were transported to the counting center at the Olympic Park Handball Arena, where the tally proceeded, and the related work has now been completed.
