“Nam Gyu-ri performing live in Haeundae is a treat for the ears.”
Singer and actor Nam Gyu-ri has shared the vivid excitement from her first busking in Haeundae, Busan.
On the official YouTube channel ‘Gyulmeong’ of Nam Gyu-ri, a video titled ‘Ep. 49 Perfect Weather for Busking! Nam Gyu-ri & Soonsunhee Busan Busking Scene, Part One’ has been uploaded.
The released video fully captures Nam Gyu-ri preparing for and carrying out a busking session in Haeundae, Busan together with the vocal group Soonsunhee, known as a ‘digital chart powerhouse’.
This draws attention as a special event that made real the wish that Nam Gyu-ri expressed earlier in the episode 48 Busan business-trip vlog, “I want to try busking.”
The busking that day opened with an opening set by Soonsunhee.
Soonsunhee passionately performed the songs ‘Sad Invitation’ and ‘You Are Embedded in Me’, instantly elevating the heat in Haeundae, and then personally introduced Nam Gyu-ri, heightening the anticipation on site.
Amid the cheers of the audience, Nam Gyu-ri appeared and said, “Today is my first busking ever. I am happy and honored to be here in the wonderful city of Busan with the excellent members of Soonsunhee.”
She continued, “There are not many opportunities to connect with you up close, so I hope you enjoy a good time here with us today.”
Before the main stage, Nam Gyu-ri introduced the song: “As part of SeeYa 20th-anniversary reunion, each member remade one SeeYa song, and among them I will perform my newly arranged ‘2026 Love Greeting’.”
Once the performance began, Nam Gyu-ri showcased her signature solid vocals and steady live skills, completely capturing the eyes of the large crowd gathered on site.
Set against Haeundae Beach, this busking once again proved her outstanding live ability and stage command.
Many citizens stopped to watch the stages by Nam Gyu-ri and Soonsunhee and responded with passionate cheers, making the event a great success.
Internet users who watched the video are showing explosive reactions such as, “Nam Gyu-ri live in Haeundae is a treat for the ears”, “The vocal blend with Soonsunhee is so good”, “I envy those who were there”, “Who knew the Gwangalli walk teaser would scale up like this”, and “I am looking forward to the second busking.”
Meanwhile, along with broad communication through the YouTube channel ‘Gyulmeong’, Nam Gyu-ri is continuing a busy streak across genres, recently earning praise for sly comic acting on the Coupang Play show ‘SNL Korea’.
In addition, SeeYa appeared on KBS 2TV ‘Immortal Songs’ broadcast on the 30th and drew major buzz with an overwhelming performance.
By appearing on various music and variety programs including these, they plan to continue active engagements with the public, and will further accelerate full-group promotions for the 4th full-length album ‘First, Again’, which has settled in the upper ranks of major music charts.
Furthermore, on August 29 (Sat) and 30 (Sun), starting at the Grand Peace Palace of Kyung Hee University in Seoul, they will hold the 20th-anniversary nationwide tour concert ‘THE FAN’, touring five cities nationwide including Busan, Daegu, Cheongju, and Suwon.
Through this, they plan to present fans who have waited consistently with a relay of diverse hit songs and overwhelming live stages.
