Appearing on the June 6 broadcast of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday,’ Dayoung tackled a range of music quizzes, drawing attention with her distinctive energy and sharp sense.
As a seasoned ‘Amazing Saturday’ returnee, Dayoung exuded healthy energy with sporty styling befitting the day’s ‘Health Boy Health Girl’ special. Before the main games, she shared in a pre-game interview, “On the day my new song was released, I appeared on Hanhae’s radio show and ended up doing a challenge together,” adding, “Thanks to that, we created an EASY version of the challenge, which helped a lot,” setting a warm tone from the start.
In the ‘Sing the Next Line’ game with appetizers at stake, joining Rhymer’s team, Dayoung took on singing ZE:A’s “Mazeltov,” Haebom’s “Princess’s Rules,” and Park Jin-young’s “Swing Baby.” Though she went first in the opening round and tasted disappointment due to the opposing team’s interference tactics, she redoubled her resolve, stepping up fifth and then third in the subsequent rounds, and by completing the lyrics perfectly, she led her team to victory.
Next, for the main game, Dayoung tackled CORTIS’s “REDRED.” Momentarily flustered by the track’s fast tempo, she focused on the given hints to infer the lyrics, and each time the cast proposed a near-correct line, she enlivened the broadcast with enthusiastic reactions and empathy, drawing laughs. Teaming up with the other cast members, she identified a decisive word and ultimately succeeded in getting the answer right.
Meanwhile, in the song narration quiz with dessert on the line, she guessed Girls’ Generation’s “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)” after hearing just a single line and even performed a playful ceremony toward Taeyeon, showcasing delightful chemistry. When Dayoung’s “What‘s a girl to do” came on, she, Kim Dong-hyun, and Hanhae delivered an energetic performance, keeping the fun going.
At the end of the episode, upon hearing that ‘Amazing Saturday’ is often broadcast on KTX, Dayoung wrapped up her appearance with a witty remark: “Thinking that my face will now appear on KTX makes me happy and proud.”
Meanwhile, having successfully wrapped promotions for her second digital single “What‘s a girl to do,” Dayoung continues to be active across various stages, including university festivals. She is set to take the stage at “Waterbomb Seoul 2026” on July 26.
