Influencer Park Hee-seon, from ‘Singles Inferno 5’, directly stated her position on sponsor rumors and signaled a firm response.

On the 7th, through her social media, Park Hee-seon posted a lengthy statement, saying, “The suspicions about me that have been mentioned online recently are clearly false.”

She said, “The dissemination of those falsehoods has already been confirmed, through investigative procedures, to be untrue,” and added, “In January of this year, I filed a criminal complaint over the false information spread by an anonymous cyber offender, and in April the suspect was booked and referred to prosecutors.”

She continued, “I determined that responding to every baseless false claim could instead cause unnecessary spread, so I have responded quietly,” yet added, “I express deep regret that recently untrue content has been repeatedly reproduced.”

She also emphasized, “Spreading false information, defamation, and the indiscriminate reproduction of such content are clearly illegal acts,” and “Together with the legal team, we are continuously monitoring related posts and distribution channels, and we will take strict legal action against any confirmed illegal acts.”

The matter was sparked when private posts from the social media of Kim Ji-min, from ‘Heart Signal 4’, were recently leaked to online communities and social media. Those posts included sponsor rumors surrounding Park Hee-seon and other female influencers, causing a stir.

As the controversy grew, on the 6th Kim Ji-min posted an apology on her social media. Kim said, “I sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people due to posts that were written in my personal space over the past few days,” and added, “I sincerely apologize to artist Park Hee-seon, as well as to agency staff and fans, who were unintentionally harmed and hurt by an image related to ‘Ju Club’among privately mentioned content for which the facts had not been clearly verified.”

Meanwhile, Park Hee-seon gained recognition by appearing on the Netflix variety show ‘Singles Inferno 5’. After studying abroad in Canada, she is majoring in Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States, and she is currently enrolled as an exchange student at Seoul National University. Her social media follower count has surpassed 1.57 million.
