As the new-title pipeline enters full swing, fully embedding development DNA across management
Neowiz announced on the 8th that it has named Park Sung-joon, head of the New Title Development Group who spearheaded development of ‘Lies of P’, as its new CEO-designate. With this appointment, Neowiz will, for the first time since its founding, adopt a CEO structure led by a former developer.

Following approval at the regular board meeting in August, CEO-designate Park will officially take office and, together with CEO Bae Tae-geun, lead management under a co-CEO structure.
Neowiz said it named a CEO from a development background to align with the point at which its new-title pipeline is entering full-scale operation, placing on-the-ground expertise and execution in development at the top of its management priorities. With this personnel move, the company plans to concentrate its organization-wide capabilities on new-title development and delivering global results.
Park previously served as Development Director at Neowiz CRS in 2013, headed console development at Neowiz Bless Studio, and since 2019 has led the ROUND8 (Round8) Studio. Since 2023 he has also headed the New Title Development Group, overseeing Neowiz’s next-generation development lineup. He is a key figure who drove the global success of ‘Lies of P’ and the DLC ‘Lies of P: Overture’. After assuming the CEO role, he plans to continue concurrently leading the New Title Development Group, closely linking the development direction of major projects with management strategy.
CEO Kim Seung-chul will remain an inside director and continue to serve as a member of the board even after resigning as CEO.
The newly appointed CEO-designate Park stated, “With multiple projects now on a development track, from 2027 Neowiz will be able to present in earnest the new-title pipeline it has been preparing.”
