“A new face steps forward to show the ‘sincerity of care innovation’”
CareDoc
CareDoc is launching a brand campaign with actor Ryu Seung-ryong as its first exclusive model.
CareDoc has appointed household-name actor Ryu Seung-ryong as the new model for the brand and is launching a new campaign that carries its philosophy and message as a senior total-care platform.
CareDoc, a senior total-care company (CEO Park Jae-byeong), said on the 8th that it has selected actor Ryu Seung-ryong as its first exclusive model since its founding and will embark on a large-scale brand campaign.
To broaden social awareness of senior care and to convey its vision more sincerely as a leading senior-care company, CareDoc has decided to run its first brand campaign since its establishment. It aims to inform more people about the importance of ‘care infrastructure’ and to introduce the significance of life-cycle-based senior total care that CareDoc pursues.

To this end, CareDoc chose Ryu Seung-ryong, a household-name actor who won the Grand Prize at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, as its first exclusive brand model. CareDoc concluded that the track record Ryu has built in public-interest activitiesincluding campaigns supporting families of people with disabilities and of national merit honorees, social-contribution initiatives, and pro bono workaligns with the brand vision of CareDoc. In addition, given his friendly and trustworthy image that has built broad cross-generational rapport, he is expected to communicate the blueprint for senior care with greater persuasiveness.
Ryu Seung-ryong is also said to have deeply empathized with the care philosophy CareDoc pursues and the purpose of the brand campaign, readily accepting the model offer. In particular, he noted how CareDoc has built differentiated total-care services in the market, ranging from caregiving to senior housing, and expanded a business model to address blind spots in care; this led him to join the campaign.
CareDoc and Ryu Seung-ryong plan to carry out various activities together to promote the social value of care, including active collaboration in the CSR field.
The new brand campaign featuring Ryu Seung-ryong will be unveiled in June. Starting with this, CareDoc will actively deploy comprehensive brand communications across online and offline channels. Through this, it plans not only to expand brand awareness but also to broaden consensus on life-cycle-customized senior care that CareDoc pursues.
CareDoc has led the domestic senior-care market by offering a range of specialized services across the entire senior life cycle, including senior-care matching, caregiving, home-visit care, and senior housing. In particular, among domestic senior-care startups, it has secured a solid position in the market by leveraging differentiated capabilities in developing and operating senior housing and by achieving a cumulative transaction volume (total sales) of KRW 370 billion. Using this year as a starting point, CareDoc plans to accelerate efforts to secure mid- to long-term growth drivers as an industry-leading company.
CareDoc CEO Park Jae-byeong said, “Together with actor Ryu Seung-ryong, who has joined the vision of CareDoc, we plan to actively roll out a brand campaign that embodies the value of senior care” and “On this basis, we aim to further reinforce a differentiated identity as a leading senior-care company that embraces all aspects of senior care”.
Ryu Seung-ryong has firmly established himself as a national actor by showcasing a wide acting spectrum in multiple blockbusters such as ‘Roaring Currents’, ‘Extreme Job’, and ‘Miracle in Cell No. 7’. Recently, he won the Grand Prize in the television category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards for his passionate portrayal of the struggles of a breadwinner in his fifties in the JTBC drama ‘The Story of Manager Kim Who Works at a Large Company and Owns a Home in Seoul’. He also plans to continue meeting audiences this year through various film and television projects.
