Wanna One member Kim Jae-hwan successfully completed his performance at the ‘2026 Korea Memorial Festa’, his first outdoor festival after discharge. He demonstrated his presence as a ‘performance-driven singer-songwriter’ with a tight live band set.
On the 6th at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul, Kim took the stage at the music festival ‘2026 Korea Memorial Festa’ and fired up the venue with a solid live band performance.
He opened the set with ‘Truth or Dare’, infusing his signature, emotionally resonant vocals with potent allure. For ‘Are You a Flower’, he not only sang but also played guitar himself, conveying a deepened musical sensibility in full. In particular, he showed flair by rewriting the lyrics to include the fandom name ‘Wind’.
He also selected the drama ‘Seaside Village Cha-Cha-Cha’ OST ‘Become My Light’, tracing the emotional arc of the song with restrained expression and calm vocals. He followed with ‘Snail’, adding a clean, unadorned tone to gentle guitar lines to convey a fresh, green-tinged sentiment and heighten immersion.
Lastly, with his most recent release ‘I Will Come to Get You Now’, Kim showcased the qualities of a ‘top-tier vocal rock star’. His signature explosive vocals blended with a refreshing band sound, leaving a deep afterglow.
Throughout the main set, Kim naturally drew responses from the crowd, displaying outstanding command of the stage. Kim Jae-hwan shared his thoughts: “As it was my first outdoor festival after discharge, I felt both excited and nervous while preparing, but I think I am actually leaving with more energy.”
Having moved energetically across stages at home and abroad, including ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’ in May, and establishing himself as a ‘stage powerhouse’, Kim Jae-hwan is set to appear at ‘Stage Name’ at the Daegu EXCO Auditorium on July 25, where he will once again connect deeply with audiences through music.
