Singer Seo In-young candidly opened up as she prepares to remarry.
On the 9th, a video titled ‘Seo In-young’s First Reveal of Her Feelings on Marriage (Misunderstandings and Truths, Wedding)’ was posted on her YouTube channel ‘Reformed Seo In-young’. In it, she shared what led her to decide on remarriage, her affection for her husband-to-be, and her thoughts on malicious comments.
In the video, Seo In-young said, “Marriage has been my dream since I was young,” and added, “I tried to make my first marriage work, but it didn’t go as hoped. I had actually planned to marry sooner, but after starting YouTube, I simply pushed it back to the end of this year.”

She went on about her fianc: “If it weren’t for my current boyfriend, I wouldn’t have reconsidered marriage,” adding, “When my depression was severe and I was relying on alcohol, I was asked to go on a blind date, but I wasn’t up for it given my state then. Since plans had already been made, I asked him to come to a gathering with my friends the day before the blind date, and I found the way he showed up so confidently very attractive.”

She added that her fianc is “a businessman marrying for the first time,” and expressed her affection: “It wasn’t because he has a lot of money; I liked how diligently he lives his life. He has never asked about or expected anything from me financially. He is a very responsible person.”
She also emphasized that she is preparing for marriage carefully because it is a remarriage. “In the past, I rushed into getting married because I was afraid I might change my mind, but this time I wanted to give my boyfriend certainty,” she said. “I didn’t want to hurt him.”

Regarding some netizens’ responses tinged with concerns about divorce, she said, “That’s something even I don’t know,” but added, “I always try sincerely. It’s not that I divorced because I cheated, and I will keep working hard and communicating. Nothing will change. I’m not getting married because of a baby, and I’m not thinking about having one yet.” She continued, “Right now I’m satisfied with working. Getting married won’t change my work or how I communicate with fans.”
She also revealed her wedding plans. Seo In-young said, “We plan to hold a small wedding at a church,” adding, “I’ve realized that living well is more important than a lavish wedding like in the past.”
Meanwhile, Seo In-young married a non-celebrity businessman in 2023, but the marriage ended the following year. She is currently set to marry Choi Ji-hoon, CEO of the content creative company NP, who is six years her senior, in the second half of this year.
