Singer and comedian Lee Su-ji transformed into a nurse this time, vividly conveying the realities of the medical field.
On the 9th, the YouTube channel ‘Hot Issue Ji’ released a video titled ‘The Blood, Sweat, and Tears of Nurse Park So-hyun’. In the video, Lee Su-ji becomes Park So-hyun, a third-year nurse in internal medicine, recreating the hardships of hospital work.

It realistically portrayed a range of complainants, from patients who speak rudely and pour out grievances, to older adults who struggle with kiosks, patients who self-diagnose based on YouTube and ChatGPT, and those who demand treatment even after hours.
It also elicited empathy by meticulously capturing the grueling routines of nursescaring for patients without a proper lunch, mask marks left on their faces, and deepened dark circles.

Within less than a day of its release, the video surpassed 1 million views. Netizens reacted with comments such as “Even a part-time job has many difficult customers, so how hard must it be for nurses who deal with the health of people”, “It seems like a job with emotional labor as intense as that of kindergarten teachers”.
In particular, people actually working in healthcare also expressed strong agreement. Some nurses said, “I was surprised that it was milder than expected”, “It might have been better to do a university hospital version. That level does not cause me stress”, “The actual field is even more chaotic and harsher”, “A considerable reason nursing is hard is that duties keep getting added”, “Regional hospitals are battlefields. Nurses handle everything, from patients who try to enter the exam room without even checking in to interpreting for foreigners and responding to complaints”, agreeing that reality is often far tougher than the video.
