Actor Hwang Jung-eum directly clarified misunderstandings surrounding her reunion with ex-husband Lee Young-don.

On the 10th, the YouTube channel ‘Hwang Jung-eum’ released a video titled ‘The day I was truth-bombed(?) by ChatGPT’.

That day, Hwang Jung-eum examined her life graph through ChatGPT and spoke candidly about her married life and the circumstances at the time of the reunion.

In particular, after seeing the graph trend downward following her 2016 marriage, Hwang Jung-eum said, “It seems people have what you could call energy. Everything goes well only when your mood is good,” and “Since getting married, my energy has been dispersed. As my energy worsened, work did not go well.”

She went on, “If I had not married, the graph would likely have risen,” while adding, “Even if I could go back, I would still marry. Otherwise, how would I be able to meet our two sons?”

Looking at the 2021 graph, Hwang Jung-eum referred to the period when she reunited with her ex-husband and corrected some misunderstandings. She said, “Some people thought we reunited because I became pregnant with our second child after divorcing my ex-husband,” and added, “But we did not come back together because I was pregnant with the second; we came back together because of our first, Wang-sik.”

She continued, “After the divorce we reconciled and decided to live together again because of our first, Wang-sik,” and explained, “The second was not conceived before the reunion; we planned for and welcomed the second during a trip to Hawaii after the reunion.”

Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married former professional golfer turned businessman Lee Young-don in 2016 and had two sons, but ended the marriage in 2024 after a second divorce lawsuit.
